I built AltarWed after watching friend after friend plan a Christian wedding on platforms where faith felt like an afterthought. A wedding is one of the most sacred days a couple will ever share. I wanted planning tools that treat it that way.

From the founder
I grew up in church. It is where my community has always been, where I have watched couples I love make their vows, and where I learned that a wedding is not a party with a ceremony attached. It is worship.
When my friends started getting engaged, I watched them plan on the big mainstream platforms and feel like guests in someone else’s house. Those tools are polished, but they are not built on our values. AltarWed is openly Christian and rooted in a traditional, biblical understanding of marriage. Scripture on your wedding site, the order of your ceremony, the vows you make before God: here they are not afterthoughts. They are the point.
I am a software engineer, and I built AltarWed the way I wished someone had built it for my friends: a beautiful wedding website with a verse at its center, a seating chart you can drag, invitations that go out in one click, and a directory of vendors who share your faith. It is a small company built openly as a Christian business, in the tradition of companies that do not hide whose they are.
